The overly excited "We're leaving tomorrow" update

My bags aren't packed yet, but my clothes are spread out all over my bedroom floor, the last shopping is done and the suitcases are out... It's for real now!! We're leaving tomorrow!! As you can all imagine, I couldn't be more excited, and I don't think the rest of my fam could get more excited either, haha. Tomorrow evening we're leaving for first Frankfurt, then Singapore and then finally finally, after 24 hours of flying and bumming around at airports, we'll land in Perth around midnight local time. No doubt terribly jet-lagged, but I'm sure I'll be smiling :)

So a short rundown of what the plans are for this trip... First two days we'll spend in Perth, sleeping off the jetlag and do a bit of sightseeing around the city. Then we've hired a campervan for two weeks, with which we'll be travelling along the WA coast, hopefully as far up as Monkey Mia and then back to Perth (Froukje, I'll let you know if we have time to catch up or not... Would love to though!!). From there, we'll be flying on to the center, where we'll be doing some sort of 4WD camping safari for five days and see things like Ayers Rock and King's Canyon... Very awesome :) And then we're on to Melbourne!! No matter how awesome all the rest will be, I'm sure that will be my highlight, haha. Very much looking forward to seeing some of "my Aussies" again after more than 2 years :) We're arriving in the evening of 14 August and we're staying at this appartment in the city until the 18th. Then the rest of my family moves on, either back to Holland or on to my auntie in Byron Bay, while I'll stay in Melbourne with my lovely second family in good old Vermont till the end of the month :)

So if people want to catch up with me while I'm in Melbourne, I'll be getting a new Australian number shortly after arriving in Perth and I'll let you all know as soon as I can. Or you can just leave me your number on here or on my e-mail (icke86@Hotmail.com) if I don't already have it, and I'll get in touch with you!! I don't know how much chances I'll get checking e-mail or updating this website, but I'll try to keep you updated as I go along :)

Anyway, I'd better try and get some order into the mess that is my bedroom floor :) I hope everyone's well and I hope to see a lot of you soon!! Until then, take care.
