Easter morning rambling :)

Happy Easter everyone!

It's only early in the morning here as I write this. I've been a reluctant morning person over the past couple of weeks. If someone had said to me a month or so ago that I would be waking up before 8am pretty much every morning from then on, I would have laughed at them. Most of you know I'm not a morning person by nature and love my sleep, so 8am is way too early to be awake if I can help it. Life is different when you wake up early. Lately I can't seem to help it. If you catch public transport that early too, you all of a sudden find yourself surrounded by people in suits or giggling schoolgirls discussing all the latest goss on their way to work or school instead of fellow sleepy-head uni students, older people and mums with little kids.

So you might think, well, with all that extra time on your hands, you must have done lots of stuff lately. It does feel like I've been busy over the past month, though besides the usual social stuff I think it has been more busy in my head than anything else. I have to decide what masters degree I'm doing next year, as I finish my undergrad in 10-12 weeks!! Both scary and exciting :) But as most of you know I've been doing a choosing your masters workshop kind of thing to help me figure out what I want and what my strengths and weaknesses are (I know who to ask if I ever need a character reference now, thanks guys!) and that was good to do. Made me realise it was more some kind of confirmation I needed that I'm on the right track than that I really had no idea what I want and what I can. Still no final decision, but it will probably be in the field of multiculturalism or gender studies.

And now I have a whole week off from uni, which is just lovely. I haven't had a week off from uni since it started back up in early September except for over Christmas, but then I still had to work on my thesis. It's funny how I always find heaps of random things to do that are not uni-related at all when I'm supposed to study, but yesterday I actually had to get used to not HAVING to do anything. Spring has finally arrived though with a couple of beautiful blue sky days already come and gone, so I'm sure I can get used to having a week off if it stays like that :)

Anyway, I'm about to have Easter breakfast with the fam, so I'm going to have to love you and leave you... I hope you're all having a wonderful Easter and long Easter weekend :) And of course enjoy those chocolate Easter eggs, haha. I know I will :)
